What You Can Do

There are many things you can do to demonstrate your support for Israel at this time of crisis. Here are some suggestions.

  • Donate to the 2006 Israel Emergency Fund
  • Include prayers for Israel in your worship.
  • Attend a rally for Israel.
  • Post a “We Stand With Israel” lawn sign and proudly fly an Israeli flag at your congregation.
  • Write a letter to your elected leaders. Let them know that we appreciate the Bush administration’s immediate condemnation of the unwarranted attacks on Israel, and that we welcome the news that Secretary of State Rice will be traveling to the Middle East. Go here to locate the contact information for your representative.
  • Urge your members of Congress to vote for resolutions in support of Israel
  • Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper. See ARZA's website for suggestions on how to write a letter and the suggested talking points. To find your local editor's e-mail and address, click here.

Campus Resources

Israel on Campus Coalition
The Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC) is a partnership of the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation and Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, in cooperation with a network of national organizations committed to promoting Israel education and advocacy on campus. The nearly thirty organizations currently participating in the ICC are dedicated to working collaboratively to assist students in fostering support for Israel on the college campus. KESHER is a member of the ICC. Download their current guide: Israel Under Attack: A Resource Guide to the Current Conflict.

Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life
Israel is now taking steps to confront violence from across its southern and northern borders. Our prayers are with the people and soldiers of Israel. Hillel is in contact with our professionals, lay leadership and students in Israel to offer our support. While daily life proceeds normally for most, some have been impacted by the current crisis.

Israel Campus Beat
Israel Campus Beat keeps college students on over 600 campuses in all 50 US states and around the world up-to-date on the latest developments in Israel and on pro-Israel campus activities. The ICB’s weekly email and integrated web site offer concise summaries and links to Israeli current events, business and technology articles, arts and entertainment stories, and features on Israeli society. Stories, analysis and opinion, including campus news and student-authored opinion pieces, reflect multiple points of view and are culled from American, Israeli, international, and campus sources.
